THE VICTORIOUS CHRISTIAN WOMEN’S LEADERSHIP AND DISCIPLESHIP TRAINING FOUNDATION promotes Bible study, Christian Evangelism, education, and benevolence to women. In this Christian Leadership and Discipleship Training, we provide women a safe outlet to help them achieve genuine clarity and understanding of God’s Word for their lives and to fulfill His destiny in them. We provide services to all women, including those transitioning from incarceration.

We aim to provide a safe haven, including shelter, food, and clothing, to the severely disadvantaged, affected by either a lack of existing community resources or a lack of funding and supplies to existing local infrastructures in their time of need. In this program, we plan to continue to serve women who are Victims of Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, and Stalking.

Victorious Christian Women has been in establishment since 2017. Our mission is to assist women who have had life challenges and to help them receive a second chance. This second chance encompasses several things. It primarily starts with identifying the needs of the participants. Victorious Christian Women has a direct helpline offering guidance, prayer, support, and counseling.

SHEILA V. CHATMAN, M.S.N., M.H.A., R.N., C.C.M. - Founder

As a double master’s prepared Registered Professional Nurse, our founder, Sheila V. Chatman has experience in identifying individuals who have been impacted by domestic violence in their lives. This identification includes knowing the importance of when intervention is needed. She is also a Certified Case Manager. This role will allow for assistance through assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating. This guidance includes financial support as well. She understands the complexities and challenges individuals face when navigating such demanding situations. Her journey has not only shaped the perspective of the organization but has also fueled a
passion for supporting individuals who find themselves in these circumstances.

In 2018, we became involved with a survivor-initiated support organization to help survivors of domestic abuse, “Starting with Me.” Our involvement consisted of emotional support, encouragement, and guidance. This experience was transformative for the organization, as we learned the importance of community, empathy, and the power of shared stories in healing. We assisted in organizing workshops that focused on empowerment, self-awareness, and financial independence, which helped participants regain a sense of control over their lives.

In 2021, we had the opportunity to mentor and counsel several young women who have had domestic violence as a part of their lives. This included spiritual guidance, financial assistance, and shelter.

We are committed, dedicated, energized, and enthusiastic, to use our gift of the Holy Spirit so that God’s glory may be manifested and recognized. (1 Corinthians 2:13; Philippians 1:11)

"May you abound in and be filled with the fruits of righteousness (of right standing with God and right doing) which come through Jesus Christ (the Anointed One), to the honor and praise of God [that His glory may be both manifested and recognized]."

Philippians 1:11 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

Our Vision

We plan to offer seminars in GED preparation, finance management and budgeting, cooking and cleaning classes, as well as child rearing.  Eventually, we will provide training in nursing aide and/or LPN, providing housing, etc. Because we are Christ-driven and our foundation is the Word of God, we will have Church services with Bible study to build up our sisters' knowledge of the Word of God.
